VUKMIR + ASSOCIATES have provided Croatian law legal support to the Italian Deimos Group in relation to acquisition of the two Croatian companies – PALCO d.o.o. and Nutrift d.o.o., as well as their Slovenian joint-venture company – PALCO and Nutrifit d.o.o. Italian law firm Brescia Miccoli e Associati from Milano advised on Italian law aspects of the transaction, while the Slovenian law firm Fatur & Menard provided legal support in relation to Slovenian law.
Deimos Group are one of the leading Italian distributors of food ingredients and chemical specialties for industries that operate on the market of life science. Target companies in Croatia and Slovenia operate in the same sector, i.e. distribution of commodities and specialties for the Food, Feed and Life Science sector. By this acquisition, Deimos Group has established a foothold in Southeastern Europe, which is a first step towards expansion of its activities outside the Apennine Peninsula.
